Does NIOXIN® sell direct?

Are NIOXIN® products tested on animals?
NIOXIN® does NOT test any of its skincare for the scalp, styling or support products on animals. All NIOXIN® products are formulated with the natural botanicals and rich humectants; ingredients free from damaging alcohol, animal proteins and film-forming PVPs.

What is DHT?
Dihydrotestosterone, or "DHT", is a hormone byproduct formed by an enzymatic reaction between 5-Alpha-Reductase and testosterone within the scalp skin. Research has determined that DHT is a primary cause of thinning hair for both men and women.

Will I always have DHT?
Daily use of NIOXIN® Scalp and Hair Care Systems helps to remove excess sebum containing DHT. DHT is a hormone byproduct present in the sebum on the scalp. It's produced by a naturally occurring enzymatic conversion in the body. A genetic predisposition of hormonal balances and imbalances, as well as the conversion of testosterone into DHT, can be inherited from either your mother's or your father's side of the family. If you are prone to DHT, it is likely that your body will always produce it.

Does NIOXIN® block DHT?
NIOXIN® Scalp and Hair Care Systems help to address the combination of factors linked to noticeably thin-looking hair and actively removes excess sebum containing elevated levels of DHT.

Does NIOXIN® remove DHT?
Daily use of the NIOXIN® system cleanses excess sebum containing elevated levels of DHT from the scalp and hair.

What are the differences between NIOXIN® and medicinal products for hair loss?
NIOXIN® Scalp and Hair Care Systems do not contain drugs, do not contain minoxidil or finasteride and therefore do not need FDA approval for manufacturing. It is categorized as cosmetic and formulated with botanicals and essential oils and addresses factors associated with the appearance of thinning hair by helping to maintain an optimum scalp environment.

Does Recharging Complex® block DHT?
Recharging Complex® does NOT block DHT. NIOXIN® products do not claim to block DHT.

Can an individual use NIOXIN® products at the same time as Propecia or Rogaine?

Do NIOXIN? products kill lice?
