Shirley McDonald

Shirley McDonald is a Consultant Trichologist with over 30 years of experience. Her research into scarring hair loss earned her a Fellowship from the Institute of Trichologists, and she is currently pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Science.

Working from her practice in Hendon, London, Shirley takes a holistic approach that considers lifestyle, diet and hair care, working with all hair types, including Afro-textured hair. Alongside her clinical practice, she serves as a clinical tutor and Board Director and represents the Institute of Trichologists on the Dermatology Council for England.

Her expertise has been featured in publications including Metro, Black Hair magazine and Business Insider, as well as BBC and ITV news segments.
